Weds 28th June - The Cobbler and Ben Narnain

Ben Arthur, or the Cobbler is an iconic mountain, and some spectacular views. This ride alternates between riding and pushing up the front of the Cobbler until we make it to the corrie path. This is occasionally disjointed, but eventually levels to allow us access to the pitched path straight up the side of the mountain to the summit traverse of the Cobbler. We'll ride up and across to the main summit where riders can explore 2 of the 3 summits with ease. Turning round at the top gives way to a realisation of what you have let yourself in for, but the short intimidating start soon gives way to a flowing traverse, and on to a necessary grassy zig zag down to avoid a straight down descent of the steps. From here we have the option for an out and back to Ben Narnain, and a choice of descents including of course, the awesome track we climbed up to get there. Another small group trip, and another one in which we will definitely not be on our own.
